The donation will be used to send teens to the 2012 National Keystone Conference in Fort Worth, TX in March.

Keystone Club is the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s most dynamic teen program. It is a chartered leadership and service club for boys and girls ages 14-18. “Keystoners” elect officers and implement activities in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation, and community service. The Diverse Teens of Garfield conduct numerous community service projects including volunteering at the VFW and organizing a blood drive at Garfield High School in December.

The annual National Keystone Conference is the culmination of all the hard work and dedication that teenagers across the country and around the world put into improving themselves and their communities. It is a chance for teens to spend time with other likeminded teens to discuss issues relevant to their lives. National Keystone Conferences are truly magical events that deeply impact the lives of the teens that attend. The knowledge and experience of a Keystone Conference resonates in a teen’s life and his/her community.
