Partners

  • The Garfield Health Department works to support people and programs to improve the health and quality of life for all. The Health Department will provide technical assistance, knowledge, and organizational and collaborative partnership capacity that will greatly assist the development of the 21st CCLC program.
  • The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources aims to educate the community about alcohol and drug abuse and advocate for responsive prevention and treatment services. They work toward this mission by providing a variety of programs including a youth group, and a full-service resource and referral center. The Center will be an agency that the 21st CCLC will use as a resource.
  • Ramapo College of NJ runs the Meadowlands Environment Center (MEC) and has been providing educational experiences for children for 25 years. Programs for students include an initiative to ensure an accessible and welcoming environment for people with disabilities. MEC has sustained partnerships with 10 school districts. Ramapo College will provide Math and Science Educational Enrichment activities for 21st CCLC students and families.
  • Vacamas Programs for Youth offers experiential learning programs for at-risk youth. Vacamas will provide character development and environmental education on-site and at their facility to the 21st CCLC participants.
  • The Meadowlands Regional Chamber is the center of all things commerce in the Bergen County Area. It represents great wealth and breadth of resources especially for the chosen Career Exploration theme. They will provide such services as guest speakers, workshops, and other such training opportunities.
