As a seven year employee of the Boys and Girls Club of Garfield, Alejandrina also known as Alex by youth and parents has created a nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and enrichment.
She has previously served as a youth development professional, the front desk secretary, the program manager and has most recently been appointed the site coordinator for the 21st Century Community Learning Center, a specialized site for middle school members to broaden their horizons and have opportunities to become the best version of themselves.
As the Site Coordinator, she handles the day-to-day operations and has attended extensive trainings in the area of youth development. Additionally, she has received awards for her work with youth, most specifically the BGCA National Service Award for her years of devoted service towards helping children achieve fuller and richer lives through guidance and influence of the Boys and Girls Club.
Alejandriana has found this line of work to be very rewarding. The Boys and Girls Club has become a special part of her life. She feels as though it has become her second family. She invites any youth to be a part of the Boys and Girls Club Family, and hopes that it will continue to touch the lives of youths for years to come.
